Migen Dibra Foundation is created to help millions of people around the world that suffer or die because of medical malpractice

The statistics of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019 show that hospital malpractice is the 14th leading cause of morbidity and mortality across the world. 1 out every 33 patients admitted into hospitals in high income countries each year are fatally harmed during their hospital stay. 50% of these cases are preventable. WHO also indirectly infers that the more health care you can afford the worse your treatment. “Estimates show that in high income countries (HIC) as many as 1 in 10 patients (10%) is harmed while receiving hospital care”, which is higher than the “low- and middle-income countries (LMIC), where the rate of adverse events was around 8%”.

The foundation will help victims of malpractice with funding, council and give direct help to victims in prosecuting the health care providers in the court of law.

The web site of the foundation will also have a public list of doctors and their institutions that do malpractice along with the description as provided by the victims of the malpractice.

This foundation bears the name, and it is dedicated to the uncompromised fight to bring justice to Attorney at Law, Dr. Migen Dibra, who died by two illegal chemotherapy drugs administered to her at the Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital (JGH) public hospital in Montreal, Canada.

Dr. Migen Dibra, Attorney at Law, LL.B., J.D., LL.M., LL.D. (Ph.D. in Law), a devoted wife and mother as well as a highly accomplished attorney died at the age of 50 in February 18 of 2024 after having two different illegal chemotherapy drugs administered to her. Her death was very painful and unnecessary. The two drugs were Taxol administered on the 9th of October of 2023 and Paraplatin-AQ administered on the 7th of February of 2024. Both were administered at the Oncology Department of the JGH Public Hospital located at 3755 Chem. de la Cote-Sainte-Catherine, Montreal, QC H3T 1E2, Canada.
